As part of support to the regions affected by Typhoon No. 19 of October 2019, NEC ran a fund drive by collecting donations from employees in a cashless fashion through the POS of the in-house shops. Collected money was donated to Japan Platform, an emergency aid NGO.
Also, in collaboration with the Kawasaki City Disaster Volunteer Center, Tokyo Voluntary Action Center and other organizations, about 60 employees visited the affected regions, such as Kawasaki City of Kanagawa Prefecture and Iwaki City of Fukushima Prefecture, to remove debris and perform other support activities.
